This exciting ensemble is the praise and worship leader for our 9:15a.m. contemporary service. Total Praise sings music that ministers to the hearts of every one who attends this worship service. Membership in The Total Praise Ensemble is by audition. Interested individuals should contact Aaron Moore for more information. The Westminster Choir leads the congregation in worship at the 11:00 a.m. service. Frequently, outstanding instrumentalists from the major symphonies in the South Florida area join the choir at major musical events throughout the year, such as Christmas and Easter. Membership is open to anyone interested in joining. Interested individuals should contact Aaron Moore for more information. Faith Friends Choir, our children's choir, is for children Kindergarten - 6th grades. We meet for music and fun each Sunday from 5:30 to 6:30p.m. We sing once a month for both services and practice and perform musicals during Christmas and Easter. For more information please contact Aaron Moore or by phone at 561-395-2811 ext 205 PrayZ, our "cutting edge" Youth Choir led by Tina Lily meets on Sundays from 5:30-6:30p.m. All youth in grades 7-12 are welcome. They frequently play at anyone of our worship services and are often involved in our special concert events. Celebration Ringers rehearsals are on Mondays at 6:30p.m. in the bell room next to the El Rio Room. If you are interested in joining the hand bell choir or just curious and want to "check it out," we would love to have you come. Anyone may join, but knowledge of music is helpful. First Presbyterian Church frequently hosts concerts by national artists as well as performances by our own outstanding musicians. Our concerts are funded entirely though the tax-deductible gifts of our parishioners. If you would like to contribute, please send a check made out to "First Presbyterian" to the church office at: 600 West Camino Real Boca Raton, Florida 33486 Make sure you specify that the funds are to go to the "Friends of Music Concert Series." Thank you for your patronage! Private Lessons: We offer lessons in brass, woodwinds, piano, guitar, organ, and voice. Lessons are for anyone, any age, and are held at the church. Lessons are available during the day, evenings, and Saturdays. Music Recital: We will be having our fourth annual music recital on May 18th, at 4:00. This is for our school of music students as well as anyone in our church who would like to participate. Everyone is welcome to attend the recital and support these musicians. Come and celebrate a great year with us. Fine Arts Camp: Our FAC will be held the week of June 16-20, 2008. This camp is for kids going into grades 4-6, the fall of 2008. (On an individual basis, we will consider our own church family children who might be a little younger or older.) We include singing, drama, dance, puppets, making props, etc. There will be a presentation Friday evening, the 20th at 7:00. Everyone is invited to attend. Registration forms will be available March 1, 2008. Celebration Ringers: Our handbell choir meets for rehearsal every Monday evening at 6:30p.m. in the bell room. It's a great group of people and we have lots of fun. We would love to have a few new people join us. Gift of Helps - If your gift area is not in the music arena, we would really appreciate anyone who could help us move equipment and set up from time to time.
