Our Program CURRICULUM Our program provides a varied curriculum of challenging, creative and age appropriate daily activities to fulfill the needs of each individual child. The curriculum includes learning centers, organized free play, language arts, math skills, cooking, science activities, social studies, dramatic play, music, arts and crafts, fine and gross motor development, social and emotional development, special activities, parties and more. All classrooms are equipped with computers and software for the children's use. As part of the program your child will learn the beginning basic skills of operating a computer. CHAPEL In addition to learning about God in the classroom, the children attend Chapel in the sanctuary once a week. In Chapel the children will learn stories from the Bible and Christian songs, some of which will be used in school programs throughout the year. Although the First Presbyterian Church sponsors the pre-school the programs are non-sectarian. SCHOOL CALENDAR For the most part First Presbyterian Church Pre-School follows the same school calendar as the Palm Beach County school system for all holidays and vacation days. ACTIVITIES Throughout the school year there are activities and events, such as Pre-School Sunday, a Valentine's dance and Holiday Pageants. Additionally, birthday celebrations, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Presidents' Day, and Easter are brought into the school day's activities, among others. Once a week is "Show and Tell" and we have special "Dress-up" days. At the end of each year we have a graduation ceremony.
